What are a good kind of ski boots to buy?
I want to get my Dad a pair of downhill ski boots for Christmas. Hes a very good skier, and I want to get him a good pair. He has shaped skis right now. Is there any way to know what are good ones? Thanks!!
The only criterion is fit. Buy boots that fit his feet. There are 2 ways to do this. Remove his feet (not recommended) or take him to a ski shop so a trained boot fitter can ensure that his boots fit his feet. Any other method of choosing is doomed to fail and will result in a great deal of pain for your father.
If you want to surprise him, make your own gift voucher to give him at Christmas and take him to a shop later. I have done this with my daughter "Gift voucher for one pair of ski boots, redeemable on any Dad".
