Is there a program that can let me import a series of pictures and save them as a single video file?

I'd like to do some stop-motion videos for fun, but so far the software I've found for video editing would require me to import each frame one by one. What I'm looking for is something that would let me import a whole group of images and set each one as a frame in the video sequence.

Is there anything out there that can do this?

Most, if not all stop motion programs can do this. I'd suggest using Monkeyjam if you're on a PC. It's free.
